VHS & VHS C Tapes to DVD

Millions of Families around the world have their entire life's memories recorded on VHS Video Tape.

Like memories, video tapes fade over time and have only a limited life.   In fact the picture begins to degrade after its first use and, due to wear on the tape caused by constant running over the heads and atmospheric conditions like heat, humidity, even magnetic fields, it can become unwatchable in as little as ten years.

By transferring your VHS and VHS-C tapes to DVD, you will ensure the longevity of the memories on that particular tape will be kept for years to come and that the quality will remain the same as the day it was transferred to DVD.

Cherished Moments can also assist you with transferring your old VHS-C tapes, these video are the smaller VHS cassettes that were widely used in camcorders, normally with with video availability of 30min, 45 mins or 60 min in length, although longer times were achievable in LP mode.

What are the Benefits of converting my videos to DVD?

Longer lasting format. Video tapes have only a limited lifespan of around 10 years. DVD is a more stable format that will last ten times as long.

Not affected by atmospheric conditions. Unlike video tapes DVD's cannot be affected by things like heat, humidity, temperature changes or magnetic fields.

Won't wear out. A video is a mechanical device whose tape is designed to be extruded from it's case and run across the heads of a player and as such it is susceptible to wear and degradation over time and use. A DVD has no mechanical parts and therefore is not subject to the same problems.

Do not have to manually rewind/fast forward. A DVD has no time consuming waits. Just simply press a button to move forward or back through chapters.

Take up less storage space. DVD cases are much slimmer than VHS and therefore take up less room.

PLEASE NOTE: Video longer than 2 hours may have to be split onto 2 DVDs
 
Copy Only means: an exact replica of your original Video footage with No Editing

Copies with Gaps & Static sections removed means: Blue or Pink gaps, Static gaps and other obvious bloopers like ' Lense cap recordings etc ' will be removed from your footage prior to creating the DVD.

Menu means: an on screen Menu with numerous Moving picture frames indicating the relevant chapter points will be created to help you navigate through your DVD.

Full editing is available, however this service will need to be discussed and quoted. Please contact us for a quote.
